Baked Steelhead Trout

Tasty trout in foil packets

Ingredients

Amount Ingredient Notes
2 lb Steelhead Trout Filet
4 T Butter
2 Garlic Cloves minced - can add more
1 Lemon
3 T Parmesan Cheese optional
Sea Salt & Ground Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Place filets skin side down on foil packs (just stick them on pieces of aluminum foil big enough to fold up around each piece of fish)
  3. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice over the filets
  5. In small bowl, stir together melted butter and garlic.
  6. Brush garlic butter over the filets. Make sure to get the garlic off the bottom of the bowl
  7. Top with Parmesan cheese and sliced lemon, if desired.
  8. Close the foil packs
  9. Bake for 15 minutes or until fish is flaky.
  10. Optional: Broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end of cooking to slightly brown filet.
  11. Serve immediately.
