Helen's Flank Steak
Marinated flank steak recipe - can be grilled or broiled
Servings: 3-4
Prep Time: 10 Minutes - and overnight marinade
Cook Time: 8-10 Minutes - 10 Minutes rest
Total Time: ~30 Minutes + marinating time
Ingredients

| 1 1/2 lb - 2 lb | Flank Steak | |
| 1/2 Cup | Soy Sauce | |
| 1/2 Cup | Olive Oil | |
| 1/4 Cup | Sweet Vermouth | |
| 3 T | Lemon Juice | Fresh or Real Lemon |
| 1 1/2 T | Worcestershire Sauce | |
| 4 | Garlic Cloves | minced |
| 2 T | Dry Mustard | |
| 2 tsp | Black Pepper | coarsely ground |
Instructions
- Whisk together all marinade ingredients
- In a heavy plastic bag, combine flank steak and marinade.
- Press out as much air as possible before sealing the bags.
- Marinate, chilled, overnight up to 2 days. Turn the bag occasionally
- Let stand at room temperature for 1 hour before grilling/
- For Grilling
- Grill on an oiled rack about 5-6 inches over glowing coals 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare meat
- For Broiling
- Broil for ~4 minutes on each side
- For Sous Vide
- Sous Vide at 128 for 2-4 hours, then sear on stovetop.
- Transfer to a cutting board and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Slice thin, across the grain.
